PPE - Chainsaw trousers

Afternoon folks,

Looking into alternative Type/Design A & C trousers - we've been using up a stock of the Oregon Waipoua but they didn't meet with much approval; too baggy & not very comfy.

Has anybody tried the SIP Freedom or the new Husqvarna Technical trousers and do you have any suggestions for alternatives other than Stihl Hi-Flex.

I have nowt against the Stihls - quite the opposite - but we need summat else as well in a less expensive price range for seasonal and/or temporary staff without getting too basic.

Thanks, in advance

Could you explain a bit more about the Oregon Waipoua trou as I was thinking of getting a pair. Whats the good and bad points?

Been looking at the Engleburt Strauss trou aswell. What do you think about them?

Ben

I have to say I am surprised that you didnt like the Oregons. I've worn mine since April (I think) and found them to be very good trousers, good fit, strong and hard-wearing. All in all, good value for money and I would say suitable to supply your labour with. Its not a fashion parade, its the work-place, if they want something better, let them pay the difference.:001_smile:

My husqvarna technicals went back to husqvarna under warranty at less than three months old - they'd worn through on the inside of one of the legs just above where the cordura finishes and it goes back to the stretchy stuff.

I'd not been the most impressed with them even before they broke
