Ross, im sure Mick Stockbridge has got the lawnflight one, i dont know about the titan in the video.

could just be me not seeing it right but doesnt look like it will take large diamater rings. be worth checking what max diamater it can take is first.

 

The ebay found home made one i have will take pretty much any diamater, so far the only limiting factor has been how much weight two of us can lift onto it.

worst thing about these splitters is that you have to have both hands clear. Also they don't split the last 2 inches which if there is a knot there is a pain.

Theres ways round this though it then wouldn't be h&S friendly I assume

sit the log on 2 to 3 inches block then split it,

cheers chaps. 1st option was a towable expensive splitter but dont have

 

a trailer and not keen of in and out of back of transit but i like the look of

 

this smaller machine but just wanted to hear some comments, think i will go

 

for it.

I've had the same machine for the last 12 months and it's earnt it's money doing 80+ cube. It's starting to show some areas of weakness/wear (e.g. handle pivot points) but that will be very easy to sort out.

 

It's cycle time isn't as fast as some of the proper pro machines and it does get stuck on some of the real knotty stuff but then you are looking at spending £600 not £2k+.

 

Look hard on the net for prices, there is also an identical machine done in green and marketted by someone else.

the titan not lawnflite, they look pretty similar and spec is like for like
