As far as the actual prices go at the show i feel there were many good deals to be had.

At this particular show i wasnt particularly looking to buy any saws but did see on one stand an ms880 48" at £879 inc vat. Retail is £1257. Plenty of stands selling 200t at around £369, retail £540. Thats 30% discount on the 880 and 32% on the 200t.

Some of the stuff i did buy such as 3/8 20" chain loops for £11 each, files £6 per doz, hi-flex pants £115, etc, etc were massively discounted from retail.

All in all i feel that those type of prices are a credit to the stall holders and make it worthwile going to the show. After all, i cannot see how they can reduce prices further and still make a profit, so well done to the traders!

Was a little disapointed in Honey Brothers as they have told us they are rectifying there high prices, i dont think this materialised at the show but hey they are a biggish company and it takes time......

We have heard similar comments from customers in your area about the pricing of your jobs :001_cool:, but you have to pay for quality. Only kidding!

Please let us know what you think we were expensive on. We thought we were very reasonable with a very busy stand. Either by PM or post.

Well I hope I looked like a forester. Why is it a lot of the arbs insist on walking round in chainsaw pants?!?:confused1:

I saw some students walking round on friday in Chainsaw Trousers, Wolly Stihl hats and College Sweatshirts with Logos on!!! All I could do was shake my head!!! I was wearing a t-shirt and sweating my conkers off!!!!

I know that Hi-flex are the most underrated fashion garment of the century but come on.....haha.

The money to get in on the gate was maybe steep but everyone complaining about it afterwards is not gonna achieve anything. You all mustve known how much it was, if it was such an issue why did anyone go. If no-one turned up then the organisers wouldve been red in the face, but we all came in our droves and spent more money whilst inside which made it (IMO) a success which only means next time it will be 15quid again (or more). That said 15 quid aint that much money really and I thoroughly enjoyed myself having missed it 2 years ago and been waiting patiently ever since. My only drawback was not taking enough cash with me on the day to benefit from the deals. The weather on friday was fantastic and the atmosphere was great, all stands I visited were extremely well presented and all staff friendly and chatty, making time for each customer. T'was a good day out all in all, nice surroundings aswell.

Did anyone else play "spot the pikey vans " in the car park.
