WEll they were to me as i get a pallet of what i am after from the USA:001_cool:sorry boys and girls the uk is asking too much!!!!! OH i went to the show which was good and paid the £30 for me and my wife, really, really enjoyed the show, spoke to some friends i havn't seen in a while, had a good long chat with Phil Dunsfield about the old axe racing. The weather was georgeous and we took a lovely picinc with us. All in all an absolutly brillient day out, well worth the £15 per head!!! :001_smile:

Now that explains it, using the old exchange rate to buy cheap, good move man! BUT compared to the UK shop prices, the saws at the show were cheaper, right? Glad you had a good time there, shame we didnt meet you

Nice one!!

The last thing we want to do is give a UK dealer a living!!

Maybe my customers could get a Eastern European to cut their trees and save a packet!!

Can't quite put my finger what i didn't like about the show, possibly not enough action going on. Got there about 10.30 and by 3.30 i was bored. Felt quite sorry for the people paying for their stands who were getting totaly smoked out by the charcoal burner!

on a serious note i wanted to see a site plan before i went so i could mark the stands i needed to see

ended up doing it on the hoof and missed a couple which was a real shame

Can they not put a site plan on web site

Also after all this rain and how wet all areas are i was impressed with the level of mud after getting all that kit and folk onto site

Well as far as warrenty is concerned, from what i can gather unless it is very small bits and pieces the warrenty is worth nothing. The minute you have had fuel in that saw, if there is a problem with that saw ie it siezes, mr husqvarna will send you a lovely little letter which he obviously sends to every tom, dick and harry, fuel mixture incorrect or over reved! This happened to me once on a 357xp. Took it back to the dealer, they stripped it and sent the piston to husqvarna and the result was wrong fuel mixture supposedly, so i phoned uk husqvarna, and said are you having a laugh, for the past 8yrs this has never happened to me, blah, blah, blah, asked if they'd tested the mixture content, the answer was a flat no. Which i respect them for telling me the truth, but didn't like the idea of having an off the cuff letter. So as far as i'm concerned with warrenties, if the saw works 6 months it should have easily paid for itself, lets face it a piston and a pot is £120 and anything else your just being picky. This is only my opinion, don't take it to heart boys :001_smile:

I believe some parts on the saws are guaranteed for life, ie ignition coils. I've never seized a saw yet, but have had quite a few warranty claims.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not whiter than white but all that happens by importing through the back door is you rob the UK dealers, who then lose business, so don't bother dealing because it's not worth it then when you want to find a dealer quick to get a aprt same day to carry on the job you can't find one.

You should be pricing your equipment in with your daily rate so you don't have to scrimp and be tight. Your customers pay for your equipment not you :001_smile:

Spot on Dean!

My saw dealer has fixed saw while I wait on many occasions enabling me to finish my job!

He has also fitted new old model carbs to 2 ms200's under warranty, as well as many other warranty claims over the years, top bloke!
