Big beech takedown

Hi all,

 

Been out to look at a potential job today and i'd like some thoughts on it....

 

Its a large beech, situated inbetween two houses, 2 sheds directly underneath, multi stemmed, and reaching over onto roof zone. I wouldn't normally baulk at such a job, but its a little tricky with the situation and positioning.

 

Ball park figures for takedown ?

 

Is it a section down / rigging job or would you use a crane/plane or automobile ???:confused1

What's the drag/chipper set-up like?

 

I'd defo be looking to increase DZ by relocating a few shrubs whatever.

Rig it, take your time and put a good price in. Can you get a crane near it?

Chipper access and drag zone fine, ALL shrubs and small trees to come out !!! its the drop zone that worries me, its about 6 feet from the house, and backs onto nieghbours back garden..........

Allowing for time i would say 2 days with three men depending on drag, your vehicle set up and distance from your yard all to consider. So that is the figure.

If i get it i'l be looking for a good climber with rigging experience me thinks

I reckon your on it there tom, looks to be heavily crown lifted so going to be a lot of rigging wood which is generally not too bad for climber or groundsman even with basic rigging kit

As Tom says, around £1.5k if I could mash the shrubs (but not the hard edges).
