I got a tirfor coppy, 400 600 pounds, solid weighs a ton. I have puled out some big stuff but only if I cant get the grinder or a JCB in.

Cant understand any one pulling off a truck every time I have used the truck I just end up pulling the truck:confused1:

Smaller trees or a bigger truck

Easy fix!

I saw a house moving truck the other day that had a massive chassis mid mounted PTO winch. The cool thing was the rear bumper looked almost like a really short bulldozer blade. Had a good look and it was on a hydraulics system that lowered the blade down to work as an anchoring system when winching. And epically cool bit of kit.

Gotta love winches, I have a dozen of them, no limit to there application.

Tirfor winches are great but real heavy, lightest and probably cheapest option would be a fiddle block or you could set something up yourself if you had a few spare pulleys kicking around. It would surprise you how much weight you can pull over just with a few well positioned pulleys and some wheetabix in the morning
