that,s good new,s to me got 175 acre of it to thin, this winter i will mainly be burning larch!

Larch, easy to work with & in terms of calorific value, every bit as good as sycamore & elm. I'm hoping to be logging a lot more larch.

excellent firewood, i have just bought 20 tons for processing.

 

Started today felling and splitting the larch/doug/pine/spruce wood i had refused cos it didn't seem economical! at least it will be ready for the feb rush if last year is anything to go by? and yes larch does give a rash!

Im not sure about a rash but i have done about 30 tons this year through processor and it gives loads tiny splinters so gloves a must.

and the sawdust itchs like hell as well, because of the little splinter bits as well i guess.
