Been looking at the Stihl range - FS 130 and 360. Will be used mainly with brush knife for domestic work on our 1 acre site for clearing out ditches and scrub grass etc and occasional work with a saw blade.

Not sure what the main differences our between the 130 and 360, other then the weight and anti vibration plate on the 360's upper shaft.

Haven't looked at prices yet, although i'm sure the 360will be marginally more expensive. Thanks for your help. Rowan.:thumbup1:

The 360 and up do indeed have anti-vibe and this is a must if you're to be using it for any length of time.

Having said that, if you're looking to spend £560 on an FS360, then you'd be mental not to spend an extra £70 and get the FS460. Lots more power and no extra weight. I run two and love them.

Does anyone know why dealers are now asking £100 more for an old stock FS450 than it's vastly improved replacement FS460?

Thanks dude, any experience with the 130? Same power as the 360, but i wonder if the performance is the same. Like i said for the odd 1/2 hr here and there i can probably do without the anti vib system, but having said that it doesn't take much for the old pins and needles to kick in.
