Japa 100 blade trouble...

Worryingly the blade came loose on my japa 100 today, stripped it down and it looks like the blade has warped, do blades commonly warp after a certain time? this one is the tct blade and its about 3 years old, Thanks.

sometimes the blades loose there temper ie strength.Have you been jamming up the blade & having to knock the logs off the blade??What size blade is it 700mm cos if so i have two spare as sold my old machine

have had a few logs snatch and get thrown out but on this occasion the nut that holds the blade in place just came undone which was odd as its a left hand thread, ive tried putting the blade back on but just vubrates like hell and doesnt run straight, not sure on size will be having another tinker with it tomoz, thanks...

That can be fixed by a good saw doctor/sharpening firm

Has it not got a locking nut on it aswell ?

hi mate,

they can be very sketchy/snatchy things. sometimes a saw doctor can sort the problem providing the blade is not too warped. new blades are not that dear either if things turn sour and i can pass on manufacturer details for the best price. its worth trying a blade with more teeth as i have which makes the cut smoother and eliminates pretty much any snagging.
