month 1... a mushroom


month 2... a shell


month 3... go more advanced, but avoid sculptures that have easy to follow guides/books, no eagles, bears, herons etc!!


must include work in progress pics to prove authenticity!!


bit of fun for the novice carvers out there!!

sounds like a waste of good firewood to me, luckily i get paid to take it away and have plenty to waste....i'm in, and i've never carved anything decent...ever:biggrin:

Haha Yupp need my chain sharpening and I don't have a big enough bit can turn a bigish one the roughy it with the chainsaw , shhh don't tell anyone tho ;)

Can I join in as and when I can? I got a carving bar for my birthday in May and have managed to use it for an hour and a half! And on the same lump of wood, my first attempt is a cows head... there was one looking at me over the fence...might have bitten off more than I can chew! :)
