Planted with vision great treescapes

Last week during the trip to Porc we struck up a conversation about great trees and treescapes.

Many of these were planted by people who's vision we now enjoy but who never got to see their own creation after the early stages.

So to start a thread show some great treescapes

 

Here's Kingston Lacey Beech avenue nr Wimborne in Dorset

This has the potential to be a great thread Les :thumbup1:

 

Apparently there is a painting in Petworth House by J.M.W.Turner that depicts a group of young Oaks, its placed by the window it was painted from and some of the Oaks can still be seen.

 

The landscaping of the estate was the work of Capability Brown, Now there was a man with vision :001_cool:

thats fantastic must go and see for myself thanks for that,

 

havent got a photo but the bathurst estate avenues witch lead to a landmark are really well thought out i believe they were the work of capability brown
