Nothing exciting to report apart from lots of storm damaged trees on the sites. Some sites got hit hard others not so. Today we had a team of volunteers clearing sods off a gravel path with shovels as the roots would have been damaged by a digger. Was a good few hours work but i had to show them each time what we needed to achieve. We didn't want to dig down just take the top 1/2 inch off but that was hard to grasp for a couple of them.

Had a good week installing stiles, doing the odd bit of tree work and litterpicking. Unfortunately today i was given the task of strimming the trailway top path in Blandford. There is a reason why we mow it....... Piles and piles of dog muck. We have given the stretch the nick name of "Crap Alley/Shite avenue". I hit atleast 20 on the top path today but the final straw was when i hit a big sloppy one in the grass which covered me head to toe. I normally only wear a mesh visor when strimming but will be wearing a mesh visor with goggles now.

You are right, you must always wear googles or safety glasses when strimming in those sort of conditions. There all sorts of nasty parasitic organisms in dog mess. Be very careful.:001_smile:

I always have a pack of baby wipes for dealing with cat/dog/fox crap . When it splatters over your vizor and onto your face the baby wipes help to clean it off and combat the smell quite well .
