Having issues with the MS200, chain oil stopped working no oil whatsoever being fed......any ideas

Sounds like a blockage in the oiler system, most commonly in the tank (hook the rubber pipe out and check the pick up on the end and clean the tank out) or possibly the pump has packed up.

Probably blockage in the oil pump (99% certain as it happens often) you will need to remove the clutch/drive sprocket, remove the oil pump and manually move the drive worm in the pup to back the blockage out.

 

Also low the oil feed pipe and filter out and drain the gunk out of the oil tank. I swill some petrol about in the oil tank to break the oil down a bit and getbrid of more sawdust/ wood chip that gets intomthe tank.

 

I did a thread on how to do it but it's died and disappeared somewhere now.

Same as above. Use good quality oil and keep the filler area clean. Happens to me all the time.

Cheers ill give the tank a clean and see what happens....

Tbh I would be very surprised if just cleaning the tank works. The holes in the filter are fairly big and plenty gets through to the pump hence why I suggest removing and cleaning it and the pipe.

As mesterh says,its not a hard job,turning the pump backwards generaly pushes the gunk out.
