its a Daimler (unimog) special trucks division U5000, made for the German,South African, OZ and for NZ. nice bit of kit ! sadly when there old there sold off to african state ! ..... but theres always the lottery !!

Im not an expert but if you read the link its not a u5000 is a Mercedes Zetros, I stand corrected if a U5000 is a Zetros but they seem different.

Its a Zetros, an allwheel drive bonneted low cab version of the Actros. Bears very little resemblance to the unimog, a definately does not use the same engine..

Early Zetros used a Unimog cab (u1000 to u24##) with the bonnet & wings cut off so it was flat fronted then the Zetros bonnet meats up with that.

 

If you look carefully you can see the unimog cab heritage in the Zetros :wink:
