If you want them to be good for climbing then I would forget about the steel toe caps, that way you are spoiled for choice in the fabric walking boot market and they will nearly all be better for climbing than a boot designed for safety.

 

Of course if you are using them for work you might want something else to put on for ground work.

Im in Oz and thats the only thing they say when it comes to footwear that it has a steel toe, might get away with having two sets one for the ground and one for the tree, do you yourself Rupe have a pair you favour?

Depends how much you want to spend really.I know climbing boots(non protection) is expensive here in nz.

 

Yeah its the same situation with most work equipment over here, the guys i work with all get their climbing equipment imported from the uk as its so much cheaper

Yeah Done that but import tax is a killer,Works out pretty much same price,Not sure about Oz tho
