how i price is rubbish

fuel for chipper , saws and truck

oil for chainsaws ( getting expensive for oil now )

wages

my day rate

then x 30

prob is that i should really include my all my insurances and every other expense and divide it inot months and then weeks then work out how much my 'true expenses ' are..but would never get jobs if i done that.

Hello,

Our day rate (which is low so difficult to lower) plus 2 labourers plus a little extra chipper use.

I calculate £24'600

£30k is acceptable less than £20k is just devalueing the industry.

At the end of the day, I say go low.

I must piss away a good half day a week on worthless quotes and another on the ones I win.

Take quote chasing into account...

for 30 full days with 4 men on site ( inc yourself )

Full day cutting and chipping, small to med trees with no climbing involved, everything staying on site. about 20mile drive everyday?

Got a large job to quote and looking to put day rate on it and curious what other people quote.

thanks.

4 x £120 and chipper £80= 560 x 30 days =16,800 thats forestry rates:thumbdown:, probably too cheap for arb.men
