Dunno, it's not mine, friend gave it to me to splice and try out, I'll let you know, suprisingly Dave should have told me what it was as he posted a picture of Caspers hitch cord here, http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/climbers-talk/11582-my-splicing-attempts-11.html

so.....after all that...is it any good?

 

It’s quite soft and flattens against the rope creating a good deal of contact area, it grips like a Yorkshire man holding a fiver.

 

I found it a bit too grippy for a friction hitch and the non melting kevlariness made it ideal for burn out drops which is also naughty even if it is fun.

 

Mine ended up as a grip tensioning a speedline. Top notch for that.
