Had a great day at kew today, at the annual BMS (british mycological Society) meeting, some absolutely first class talks on the ecology (Entomological) of fruiting bodies. I learnt so much today and made a few contacts that will prove interesting over the coming years with some work.

You guys missed out at this event, you really did.

Out in the grounds things where really going bananas Im going to have to rely on rob rainford to put one of the shots up of the biggest A mellea fruit bodies youll ever see:001_cool:

I missed the best bits. Gutted!

Mini tony and an average sized A. Mellea

A shaggy parasol, I think a first for me, should go through my images and get them tagged!

WOW! what a day in windsor great park, went down there with RobRainford to get his head round all the features of fistulina interactions and, well, there was sooooo much more to the day, it was TRULY epic.

I am not sure what was the "find of the day" there was so many at every turn. Though the last image here of the orange birch bolete took some beating, a new species too, there was few new ones today.:001_cool:

I am so glad that this was not a lone affair, that I got to share the moments with another arbtalker, im sure rob had a lot of fun today if not quite as "extrovert" as me! david would say bonkers but i prefer eccentric! lmao
