This is my split log pile ready for the winter.. Hopefully it will get alot bigger by the end of the summer

May as well plough it in, that lovely split timber has to be worth more per ton

gonna have to move them round corner to our other farm.. theres an old silage pit there.. they'l fit nicely in there.. gotta have a clean concrete base so i can load em with fork lift grain bucket.. if i had my way the fieldswould be rented to my cousin next door and that shed and the 2 next to it would be full to the door with split logs..

nick how do you find the logs for mould?

are they seasoned before they go in? I had beech in a shed similar to yours on pallets with decent air flow and they went mouldy in weeks. I now put them outside for a month or two first and then put them in 2 cubic metre potatoe boxes and they seem to be alright so fair

i constantly move them aroundwith the forklift.. also took few side sheets off to get some air flow in barn.. most of that wood was outside in rings or cord for couple months before splittin although it gets cut down and split within couple days at mo and seems to be ok

oh right there is a few timber stacks up that way, down some little lanes like this and they are HUGE!
