Wow Steph as you buy in most of your wood this is going to hit you hard ? I used to visit Kielder as a kid in the 70s , Then we moved to Cheshire . Log Sales here are steady even in this climate . I only sell logs as a by product from tree work . Even now we are delivering 4 loads a week . I reckon a harsh winter is on its way later this year , and Ive never been wrong yet

HI APBELL if we get a hard winter cord hard wood will be ££££££:001_rolleyes: mate thats mad jon

You aint joking mate; everyone here is struggling to get hardwood, it's unreal, just none being cut anywhere. Everyone bunging in woodburners is going to be on softwood this year!

You maybe just right about this ; ) I have only 10 loads of 24 month seasoned Oak left already . Only other decent seasoned burning wood is Plane , sycamore , birch and beech .

I've got 10 m³ to 12 going out every week until the middle of August and they are already booking in for the winter. I am getting up at 5 o'clock to try to get more wood cut. so far I've got a couple of hundred tonnes of ash at roadside hopefully it will stay dry for a few more weeks

I hear you. I put out one advert on email this morning and immediately got orders for 15m3...

If we get a hard winter, I'm going to be embarrassed. Most of what I have ready is already earmarked to fulfil orders. If it stays dry through August, I can take more orders, otherwise "that's all folks"!
