HI all

I will soon be having lots of large diameter un diseased elm for sale, could probably come close to filling a small lorry.

If your interested please PM me or better still email me [email protected]

Cheers

James

Why do people mention that its un diseased??

DED in no way damages the timber, in fact it tends to improve the timber as it usually requires less drying.

Or am I missing something???????????

With the dead elm I've had (and same for walnut) the heartwood is a lot duller and hasn't got the really strong colour that fresh vigorous stuff has.

Does the difference remain even once both are dryed??

Yep" If anything, it's even worse. Dead elm can just be very white and grey.
