Nice set up.

 

I would have a biner both ends though, as the minute that top biner is unclipped I can see the ring disappearing into the brash, and reappearing in the chipper!

 

Yea you're right mate. My groundies have been good with this so far. Big trouble if they weren't :sneaky2: lol

 

Nice idea but I would not use the krab on the lowering line as it could cross load. Does the ring slip at all?

 

Its never slipped so far. This isn't the actual ring I rig with. I use a small cambium saver ring and a big biner to increase the bend radius and friction. Your right about the biner mate. I just did these pics in the back garden a min ago, in bare feet shorts & it was drizzling :001_rolleyes:.

But I have pushed my luck with them in the past before & really shouldn't
