HI ALL just come back from bath west show talking to a saleman wood boilers 35/40 kw i say mate how many ton do they use a year o he said 10 ton per year and cost of ton of green cord o he said £40 for beech/ash/oak into your yard i said to him i sold logs i wish i can get for that :lol: he went red as a beetroot :lol: he was telling pork pies :lol: he said o yes they cut up the cord there self and the average man not going to mess about with that are they what do you all think thanks all jon :thumbup:

currently being offered £21 / tonne at roadside for hardwood, believe eon in Lockerbie are paying £32 delivered - what are you paying down your way?

 

That's well cheap, at £21 at roadside I will take 100 tonne now, that's an unreal price.

At £21 a ton, can you just chuck it in the sea and I'll collect from there, say 200 ton. I'm getting £35 a ton for mixed softwood at roadside, all small enough to go thru a processor (13" ish) or £32 a ton for softwood chip anything up to 22".

 

From what I hear, chip/biomass are fighting with pallet, who are fighting with fencing who are trying to get what they can from sawmills, and that's softwood - not in demand for firewood.....yet.:001_cool:
