Just as a matter of interest, where would you have put a second TIP or your lanyard in the senario.

A lanyard would have got in the way of the cutting, unless you choked it further down the stem you are coronetting and looped it slack below, in which case there would be a hell of a swing and snatch if you did cut the main tip.

He should have had spikes on BTW for better work positioning, spike holes will create more habitat

As the title says.......What the Fungi is this ?

Have spotted this on dead Oaks for the last two years.

These shots are from today, last year on a different tree 8m up on a scaffold branch.

Any ideas?

Fuligo septica? I'm pretty sure this whole order is saproxylic.

Either that or expanding foam...:001_smile:

Another new entry to be filed via the Hippocampus in to the darkest depths of me cerebral cortex :confused1:

How much can we actualy store.

.

Not enough storage here. Whenever I learn something lately, some old stuff falls out.

Time to have a reference thread for these ! once an I'd is sorted

me thinks !

A pic, id, cause and effect thread would be spot on. They never seem to look the same in id books as they do in real life/real life photos. Would be good for reff and let a lot of us benifit from others knowledge :blushing:
