beginning to climb

I'd really like to run tree climber confidence courses. I think it would be easy to day course for poeple in your position, i.e. trained but not assessed, and give you the confidence you need. There are lots of excercises to build cnfidence, so a few guys at £40 a day could make a nice little course. Might have to give it some thought!

Put me on the list if you do Rupe, I would happily pay for climbing confidence course.

I'll use you as an experiment, if I can get your confidence up a bit then I should be able to charge the others!

I was thinking there should be a free climbing section though, that would be good for confidence!!

Good idea Rupe. I will run the northern division of your training outfit.

I am in the middle of looking to book my 38/39 and have no climbing experience, if I could have had 1 or 2 weeks with someone to show me the rope's then it wouldn't be so daunting.

I would pay someone to get me up to speed with knots position and equipment, think that's a real good idea.

As for the 30/31 and the five day course that whole thing could be done in an afternoon biggest rip off in training in my opinion.

Does take more thant several days to build the right muscle groups to get climbing well- hence my suspiscion of these 'fast' courses, for beginner arborists, however-you have the right attitude, so keep at it,

Who will you be doing your 38/39 with?

HAHA yea that would be a make em or break em section. Great idea though Rupe i would love to do the same in Scotland. I guess creeping up to the end of my overworked and underpaid climbing career i need to think of other things to lighten the load on the ageing bones.
