Used it climbing before arb, used two as a means of ascending a fixed rope. Initially used it as my friction hitch due to familiarity, also use it as progress capture in an MA set up, on one end of a spiders leg, sometimes on my lanyard.

 

Generally use Marlow Boa

Great knot for beginners and old timers alike.

I still revert to it now and again on small tree climbs or choggin down a stem as a waist anchor.

Ive used 8mm stein 65cm prussik loop and 10mm marlow boa.

Also good for some rigging applications, 2:1 etc

Use it to pre-tension rigging lines.

Whatever the Stein cord is and use it as a groundie for MA rigging systems and ziplines.

Prusik loops have many uses, this is one of the most important. Sorry, can't move to get a closer shot.....
