Had an iron bath I'd recovered in back of me pickup the other day. Pulled up outside the Co-op to get me some Monster as I didn't think my teeth were adequately rotted. Across the road was a transit with a pile of old crap in it, old washing machines, you know, that sort of thing. Matey comes over and says he'll help get rid of the bath for me to save me a job. I was like twenty quid bruv and it's yours. He said that ain't worth twenties. Meanwhile his mate was still sat in his van and you could see his eyes light up with dogdirt. Matey says the bath won't be worth anything and that there's no point me weighing it in as will not reach the scrappie weight threshold. I said scrappie weight threshold that's a new one to me! I said twenty quid, final offer. Again he says it's not worth anything. So's I goes not worth anything to me, surely it won't be worth anything to you. And he muttered something about no worries etc and went into the shop ahead of me. While I was fetching my cans of Monster I could see dogdirteyes eyeing up the bath and matey was already in the queue so I was like sod this, and left without me Monster and drove off before it could get thieved out the back.

 

At £140/tonne for mixed at the moment, that bath would have been perhaps 150kg possibly, probably bit less than that but that sort of gear is always good to sit on top of the bundles of chainlink and other nuisance scrap wire. Top up with a few burned out mopeds and £££.

the shed did'nt sell, the bloke who said he wanted it turned up and said "that looks a bit big for the space i've got" even though i told him what size it was:confused1:never mind i'll try again tomorrow.
