@ Ben! my hitch is 10mm Ocean Poly, with good tails atleast x3 diameter of rope. and end to end is 1.35m, works nicely but depends on what size u run of course too.

@ adam!

Work can be pretty similar obviously lots more euc's which i like climbing. and More climbing in general i reckon. it more of how you work for i think tho mate, i am going contracting so will be climbing even more. which at this stage in my career is what i want. If you are thinking of moving over i could point you in the right direction of good companies etc and starting wages roughly. just email me if ur keen.

Thanks again for the good comments, off to Darwin now for The Ozzy Nat's. will be a great comp and very high standard there is a few top wildcards too. hopefully get some more footage, c how i go beer depending haha.

Cheers MOG. Im guessing thats 1.35m after the fishermans are tied, seems like it would be well short if it were before they are tied. Just watched it again man, awesome climb. One day I might be half that good..

By the way of THE LAW your tails should be 10x in length of your hitch cord diameter

i.e 10mm hitch cord should have 100mm length tails.

for any1 that didnt know.

I was under the impression that the advise was 2.5 x diameter of rope. I may be mistaken, but 10cm tails on 10mm cord seems a bit much :confused1:
