Shame Youtube lowers the quality of the vid but spiderjack is not the be all! i climbed on one for 6 months then went back to Hitch, after seeing Joe's awsome vid i thought i give it another go! but just wasnt into it ay, too mechanical for me. thats interesting, so you say the knut does twist the rope up less? had a few jams on the lower end of decents with the twists catching up in the pulley using the VT

Yeah happens to me too especially when your going up and down your rope alot so I went to a Distel but that didnt work for me so now Im on a knut.

that video has been sped up slowed down to make the climber look faster,the leaf movement isnt right and that tree is probably only 2 metres tall

 

very nice mr glen,shame you didnt get forrest to film it from his angle.

 

im still using my spiderjack but do miss the HC for sure but def fun learning all over again and it is a fantastic piece of gear.

Cheers Guys was great climbing that tree, Will be putting Scott forrest climb up with a different camera angle again.

 

@hamadryad yeah the Knut doesnt twist my rope at all dude, very gd hitch. But you have to get the right type of rope and hitch to get it working well, best is to try different sizes/lengths/wraps/type of hitch cord on the rope you use then, you will know whats works best.

 

@ross smith, yeah i know u got to speed up the vid to look cool man haha. All gd here dude, enjoying doing some big tree climbing and going subby for Grant Cody in couple wks so its gd. Do miss NZ tho tbh. Hope life is gd back home man.

 

@BEN i think its 1.3m 10mm occean Poly but i check tomz for you and get exact size. also think 8mm tends better but burns my hands more so chop and change sometimes. i am getting some 8mm OP think 85cm splice so see how those go and yet you know if you want.
