Hello guys, first post and thought i would post a picture of the units i had a couple of years ago, cabstar had the jenson mounted behind the cab and then the tipping box, uprated the springs and fitted turrets and coilover springs as well, ldv had standard capes.

Thats a great set-up mate, must make the job so enjoyable with a great array of kit like that

yes sure is, nice to be able to crane timber out if the access is good,or hedge trim those hard to reach places that u cant get with the ladder.

Interesting. I've often thought of doing that, but driving the chipper with a hydraulic motor.

Must have had a very small payload on that cabstar though?

Looks like a Gravely 395 / 944 behind the LDV, great little chipers them were...

 

 

the cabstar had a payload of just under a tonne as the tipping body was alloy ( the traffics took me to the weigh bridge as they did not believe me!!) im sure like the rest of us i may have been overloaded occasionally, was built to be able to park in the town without driving for hours looking for a place to park the wagon and chipper- worked well.

the unit on the ldv was a RAM 30/50DH 10inch capacity was a good chipper.
