Sorry to revive an oldish thread but thanks for the trust insurance suggestion, I spoke to them today and am moving my truck and public liability over to them, was shocked when NFU put up my tractors by nearly 50% and truck by nearly 45%.

HI SCRAGGS my disco insure went up to £900 and for the 110 tipper £650 said NO NO NO WAY im not paying that your haveing a :lol::lol: i said ring up trust £590 for disco 3 and for the tipper £450 so ring up N F U and i BARTER with them SO THEY SAID I WILL BETTER your last offer so i got it for £575 for the dico 3 N F U and for the tipper it was £425 so that was just the job so it N F U FOR ME all the best jon AND THE N F U DO PAY OUT thanks all jon :thumbup:

I have also found NFU putting up prices alarmingly, and as for paying out things are far from what they used to be. They now employ loss adjusters to wriggle out of claims if they can. Came accross a flood case recently, NFU would not replace a range cooker ruined in the flood because the cost exceeded a 3k max limit per item. As a new cooker was about 4.5k that would not pay anything. The fact that the cooker had been insured with NFU since 1960 was academic. NFU blamed the loss adjusters.
