Better still, I wonder if Granfors would sponsor it with an axe prize in aid of the Childrens Trust? Competition to Granfors rules, double-bit and tomahawk comps. Axethrowing

Now do we know a site owner who may just have the clout to approach Granfors?:001_rolleyes: Oh and we'd need a large ring of wood just over 3feet dia for the target to be on.

Or the woodsmiths store. They sell cheaper axes as well as the GBA jobs :001_smile:

Now we're talking! Great idea Andy, lets put the wheels in motion and try and set it up.

Up to you first of all Justin, happy with the idea at your show?

TBh Steve and I discussed this very topic on the way back from the frozen wastelands at the other end of the A1, so I'll not take all the credit for this.:001_smile:

It was only the beginnings of a plan Mick, logistically we would need the following: a large dia piece of wood for the target and a stand, straw bales for the backdrop, safety netting to keep the mob at bay, Justin to see this thread and agree, and I'm sure there is more to think of.

It just seems to make sense to us to do something different as a fund-raiser, which doesnt involve the usual collection of prizes from various people for a change. All offers of assistance would be good, even in a small way, we aint snobs ya knows!
