Used bore and release many times before but not the step at the end. Normally I would nick the last bit at the same height almost to the bore cut and it would pop off a few mm short of meeting. To think all this time I've been doing it wrong:blushing:

There are a few variations to the "bore and release".In the UK you meet the bore cut at a downwards angle,the cut I showed was taught when I worked in the Forest in New Zealand.

 

I will make another couple of short vids of the variations,when the weather is good.Don't hold your breath!
