Sounds like you have a superb tree there then

Like Tom said you can sometimes find what looks like a lovely walnut butt only to be heart broken when you see how much heartwood there is :sneaky2:

Is that from the tree you're looking to sell? If so, that's a superb colour and grain. To be honest, I'd stick that picture up on one of the cabinetmaking forums and see what offers you get.

One thing that would help though is to stick up some form of scale on it, and a location.

Give Andy Fellows a call on 07973846364.

He gives a good price for the right walnut and will take it freshly sawn. He will come and view the tree quickly and will not mess you around.

Looks a lovely colour in the pictures.

Rob kindly phoned me to tell me about this today. If you are interested in selling in the round then just give me a call and i will come over and have a look. If you want to sell planked then as suggested you need to preserve as much width as possible.

Thanks for the tip Rob
