Sugoi rocks most any pruning right up to 200t and right small as pencil thick.

Tip is a knife edge to slice off sprouts, pull out hangers, grab an out of reach rope/biner or limb to aid climbing.

Love it strapped to the lower leg is always easy to find just have to watch the rope or lanyard gettin snagged at the ankle and plastic sheath tip.

Plus it is fairly easy to sharpen.

I've had two sugoi, and I'm now fed up with the top 2-3 inches of the scabbard breaking off! Not going to bother with them anymore, Zubat 330 instead from now one. The sugoi can stay in the truck for chipper/general use but not for climbing.

iv used a silky natanoko for a couple of years and its been great but have just tried a ARS turbo cut saw and it is honistly as good as a silky and a bit cheeper too:001_smile:

 

i have also tried one of stein's hand saws and would advise to avoid them like the plague. don't be fooled by the fancy scabbards, the blades are absolute sh1te! so agressive and rough cutting to the point that they are unusable:thumbdown:

ive got a silky long boy as well which is fantastic for pruning up in the tree as its so light
