1st pic is where the high rigging pulley was, i was shocked when i found that crack up there.

 

just wondering?

 

when climbing into the tree did you ascend on the branch (red) not knowing about the crack until you got above it? and then later set the rigging sling around the main stem (yellow)?

exactly right i did accend on that branch marked red and when i set the pulley on the yellow there wasnt a crack till i was chogging down.
