Has anybody tried the new Laski Predator range of chippers?

using the word "Predator" in the name almost guarantees they with be sh!t

unless its the "Predator" low speed high torque interlocking shredding/cutting/shearing rollers/drums that they use in water treatment plants for crushing/chipping/shredding/shearing (in one pass) wood/tyres/metal drums/etc/etc or anything else that float or be swept in :scared1:

I don't have a favourite chipper. I hire in what suits the task best as does my employer it works for us as we are not chippin every day.

I've just read 14 pages of this thread, Steve I get ya point about dealers input but I can honestly say I'll listen to what the likes, of Mike, Mr Ed and Pete B have to say far more than alot of the other rubbish in this thread!

GreenMech have been agents for the Laski range of grinders for a few years now. On the whole they are not a bad tool. Same as any machine, it has a job which it can do perfectly well, I can honestly say that they have been reliable and generally well received. I prefer them with the standard cutting head rather than the Multitip head. But, not having used one with a fifty pence peice, my opinion is therefore biased.

If my memory is right, there are rumours of a tracked grinder to be introduced by Redwood (along with the new chipper) is this correct?
