Charleton Chips

Depends who you are looking to supply with chip. I understand power stations are not too fussy on size or moisture content but haulage costs might outweigh any return. If you are looking to supply chip for much smaller applications you would have to comply with conditions laid down in the supply contract - usually G30 or G50 size chip and moisture content typically around 30-40%, which means drying the timber out for a long time before chipping it. They usually specify that it has to be virgin timber as well, so no pallets or off cuts.

Telehandeler with grain bucket company i have worked for have large bays that was pushed up by skid steer and when the biomass bulkers came in thay would hire in a telehandler for the day and have a few bulkers come on one day.

Out of intrest who is using stobarts at the mo i keep seeing there biomass bulkers every where

How much does a telehandler cost for the day?

it just gets rid of it.. thats why they pay £6 ton.. just enough to pay someone to come and load it...

Yes but then i need to pay rent on land to store it £50 pm, build hard standing and bays £500, and pay farmer to pile it up with front loader £50 pm, so for a 25tonn load il get £150 il be loosing about £300 per laod and thats if i can get 25 ton in 4 weeks!!

Lol i think il stick to allotments for now
