How about the Grindomatic V12]

Bargain at £1,700

We use the more affordable (under £400) Oregon Chain Grinder. Works fine but you have to know what your doing. A numpty can mess up chains with it. We had an employee who managed to mess up lots by not taking care.

There is more to grinding than just buying the best grinder - disks can glaze over and can overheat cutters causing all sorts of issues, the disk needs to have the glaze broken if it forms, to grind correctly.

My view is that a bench grinder is a great tool in the workshop but like most tools, they are only as good as the operator - same as using files by hand!

Ive got one of those little oregon hand grinders. brilliant little tool for in the field. Mainly use it for the 3-4 foot bar on the 880. If you use it right its as good as hand sharpening but the stones are about £2 each and you can get through them quickly.

Not sure if you can purchase diamond bits for it but they will probably last longer
