Land Rover air lift helpers?

Has anyone ever used Air Lift helper springs for their 110 or 130 tipper? I have the helper coils in mine at the moment but when empty its very hard, and when full of chip and towing big trailer it could do with a bit more lift!

Matt Savage do red air bags which go inside the outer coils and are adjustable. Anybody tried them? Are they upto the loads and levelling ability needed?

Comments appreciated!

Yes they are. A friend of mine has them on a 130. Had hem for about 12 months so far in place of helper springs. Very happy with them. But then again he has never overloaded his landy like some do, although he does carry plenty of weight in it.

I have the Airlift ones in mine and i rate them highly, easily adjustable, can carry massive amounts of weight with no roll and it does'nt sit on the stops so does'nt look overloaded (not that ive ever overloaded mine :001_cool:) Handles well either loaded or not.

I think the Airbag kit is around £100 last time l looked, the onboard digi compresser is around the same, although you dont have to get the onboard compresser you can just inflate/deflate as you would a car tyre.

I presume you just run these on the leaf springs at the rear, were they easy to fit?

They fit inside the rear coil springs, pretty easy to get the springs out, I am currently rebuilding a 130 and was going to fit a set but having seen the state of a set that had been removed from someone elses truck I wonder just how long they will last under extreme conditions before they need replacing.

interesting, my truck has rear leafs which they make kits to fit. I was considering just buying some 2" lift shackles and fitting them for th elevel look when loaded, hav you guys considered or tryed out using a simple body lift to cure your sag issues?
