HI MATE NFU thanks jon :thumbup:

This quote was from the nfu I have made sure it comes up on the insurance document as a 130 single cab tipper every body else I have spoken to who insures a 130 tipper has it stated on the insurance document as a 130 crew cab pickup. If it was an old knacker of a vehicle I would not be so fussed but I don’t want to come unstuck if I was to have a claim.

always gonna get stung under 25 mate. you say 1 years no claims, but then 5 years without a claim, how come?

I have got the 5 years no claims on another land rover. Only got the 130 just under a year ago hence the 1 years no claims

under 25's sre nightmare.. i pay £2500 to insure an 02 plate transit thats only worth 2500-3000.. 3rd party fire and theft any driver.. [which was only 100 more than namin both drivers who are both under 25].. if i wanted any driver over 25 with me as main driver its £800..

Thanks Nick I don’t feel quite as bad now!

NFU don't normally insure under 25s. Try Adrian Flux they're good for young people. Its just the way insurance works under 25 and male then the insurance company wants all your money.

Out of interest what you picking up on your roof mount to make your tractor do that?

  • 1 year later...

I got mine insured for £530,I'm over 50 years young,& have a 10 year ncb.

Looking for landy tipper insurance is tough,& expensive.

So apart from nfu,trust,and A.Flux, who are we finding to be reasonable,anyone add to the list?

Thanks up front! :confused1::biggrin:

Sounds about right to me, I'm 25 got a 2004 110 tipper and a 2006 L200 and they're £2013 fully comp for the pair but the land rover has 3 years NCB on it and me and my Groundy (also 25) . Before my 25th birthday they wanted £1660 for the landy alone! Cancelled and Renewed on the day and only £1000.00 shocking. So at 22 yours is about right
