Went and visited freinds in Oslo a few years back, then drove south to their family cabin near Arendal & Grimstad for a week.

Beautiful neck of the woods great memories, but I understand theres much much better.

Give Mike Hill a pm.

Going to drive round the fjords of norway with my brothers soon. Any tips on what to see and good places to camp or get a cabin?

take a fishing rod, I read in total sea fishing mag , about some paratroopers on training, who caught loads of cod up to 38lb from the shore

If your going to camp take extra clothing I camped at gardemoen in July one year absolute baking hot by day and freezin cold at night

we drove from Norway to cambridge

NORWAY-----SWEDEN ferry across to --DENMARK--GERMANY then to the hook 27 hours norway to cambridge

if your going to drive and you have time taking the bridge from copenhagen to Malmo in sweden is such a sight . that is the route we took on the way to Mantorp park then headed north to Norway and stopped of at Carlstad (HOPE I SPELT IT RIGHT) a large lake in the middle of sweded with good camping facilities. The rest of the Drag racer s were all there rebuilding engines etc etc

Because we've only got a few days were flying from manchester to bergen via copenhagen so we can't stray to far from base unles we work out a nice little circular route. I've got a new montane jacket coming in the post so the cold shouldn't be a problem for me!

i've just got back from working in and around stavanger, stunning area. sadly, i didn't have time to do much leisurely stuff, had a couple of dips in a fjord or two, that was about it. i wasn't far from the preikstolen which would have been nice to see. it was also absolutely scorching there.

have a nice time, i really enjoyed the country and its inhabitants.
