It was an adjustment as teh chip wasnt flying as far as it ought to. The diesel revs slower than the original petrol did. I eventually had a bigger pulley fited, and put the spout back to where it should have been, and the chip went miles after that.

That was a friends machine, so i stuck a sticker on it for a giggle. I used to have one before mart so hence why i recomended one to him. Belts/bearing can be bought from Brammer, Vermeer are very expensive on parts but the nice thing about the 620 is you can fix it with a welder and a hammer. That machine was pretty good when i saw it, and the engine ran well.

It was in about a million pieces on your drive when you saw it shep :001_smile: (don't worry swinny, just some maintenance when I first bought it!)

 

Glad she's still running ok, taught me a thing or two about chippers that machine! :thumbup1:

As said in the other post, using an imported machine in the UK means that it has to adhere to our legislation - and that includes as a trailer and a chipper. It might not be worth importing as the compliance costs may outweigh its usable value!

Yeah i just have to put brakes on it  only cost me 500 pound to fit the brakes and thats all i need. The chipper cost me 500 canadian and a 1000 canadian to ship so its cheaper to do this than buy at home

I bought it for 500canadian so it owes me nothing and it cost 1000cnd to ship and 500 pound to fit brakes so it owes 1200 pound in all so hell of alot cheaper to do it this way

OOOF! Take that axle off of it and swap it for a wider axle with taller wheels, just like Vermeer UK did to the 625 range. They had a habit of falling over on UK roads!
