Yep. I've done it then realised maybe that it was a bad idea to rant about it. We all deserve to rant sometimes but on forums it has to be a clean, pc rant. When off the forums however you can rant and use what ever language you want (within reason). My boss has had some rants which will last for over an hour. Highly amusing but after 15 mins you cant remember what you talking about

It is a problem with many people according to the boffins who do the research. Emailing, blogs, forums etc are pretty much the same. We are somewhat detached from the people we are talking too or about so we don't really consider what we are writing and how it may be interpreted by someone else. Sometimes it's just a case of not being able to correctly put into words what you are thinking but sometimes it is just because you can have dig at someone without them cracking you on the nose. In times past you had to ring someone or talk face to face and would probably have to consider what you were going to say a lot harder but if it's just punching letters on a key board many things such as sarcasm etc come easy. I was always told if I was going to write a heated email to do a draft copy then sit on it overnight and read it again in the morning. I tried it once and it was quite scary as to the extent of the bitterness in the email. I'm still guilty of typing without thinking though.
