should have got a tp chipper lot mor compact ,thats tooooooo long for my likeing

We did look at the possibility of a TP chipper from AV (where the mog came from). While we were deciding the green mech became available for a really excellent price :) it does look a bit on the long side (worse in the photos) but the mog copes really well and it's performance is incredible.. It's really helped our business to grow.

Thanks. Timon

Hmmm,

Could one not take a FWD vehicle (yawn, and perhaps a special purposes Unimog, to maintain a tenous link to the thread title)

But plenty of Donor FWD vans out there.

And insert a good chipper in place of the chassis behind the cab, if neccessary it could be on a drop down hydraulic arm arrangment for easy feeding.

Surely?

Nice one Steve , that's helpful mate...takes us ages to clean up!

The spout only needs about 6" movement off centre either side to fill the box tight, the blast power and ricochets will do the rest?

Light conveyor belt clamped and riveted on the corners and cut down so they look like the bit where your luggage comes out at the airport will stop stuff coming out a bit.

Also Ti, extend your top link and that will keep the chipper more level and give you room to lift it higher and I'd just take the legs off the chipper. The hydraulics can handle it no bother, you might even have a lock off valve you can turn when you lower it for chipping. If it's a long time and your concerned, stick a couple of logs under the arms.

Watch if you do this there's nothing at the base you can damage like oil sump, just be careful .
