Sweet as bro and all that!

 

What basic info I have figured out for myself is that the standard retrieval ball from a ropeguide does not fit through a standard pinto, so a "rig" is required for a retrievable RG type set up.

 

However smaller balls are available from chandlers, I bought some by mistake but threw them away. If I get a chance I'll get some more and if they fit through the standard pulley then that would be good!

Yes, might as well just use the rig, but thought it was worth mentioning that the rig is probably better as the standard balls that we all have (or know where to get) work with it.

 

Chances are the smaller balls would need a smaller retriever so it all gets more complicated.
