The storage space for my chipper is 1.27 metres wide, And its time to upgrade :thumbup1: my options are a tracked machine or modify a towable machine to fit the gap. Has anybody on here got any bright ideas ?

may be a hassle but make the mud guards come off with a quick clip system (captive bolts with wingnuts etc) then a couple off space saver wheels, means you would need to change them every night though.

other than that build a narrower axle for the chipper but you would need to watch it does not tip when cornering.

apart from that just get a bigger shed

No chance of making the space bigger without moving the house or boundry wall. Had to make do with a Camon for the last 5 years but its time to spend some money! Tracked seems the way to go but then I need about 4 car lenghts to line the truck trailer ramps and then the machine up.

Its a shame you cant get a towable chipper with a vari axle :sneaky2:
