wholesale kiln dried logs?

I have been selling 18 month seasoned poplar (sometimes referred to as popular ) for £34 a cube ... am I to cheap?

 

if youve worked out your costs and added on what profit you wanted, its up to you.

You lost me dave. I would mix your pop in with other hardwoods. I am sure people would be ok if 10-20% were pop. Even if the wood is free and not so popular there must be a lower limit where its not worth cutting up.

I do mix it Steve... I just had alot and was helping another log seller out who had not got any stock.... I am firmly of the belief that £100 a cube is a minimum retail price all things considered.

so this year i should be selling our 1.4 cu meter pallet box of poplar for £100 and a box of apple for £120 or is this still cheap?

So does anyone have any good leads on Kiln dried logs by the pallet load? I am very interested in buying kiln dried and seasoned and unseasoned logs in by the pallet load.

Not sure but one company contacted me and it sounds cheap for the wood i.e. 38 E per cubic meter but then it would cost another 38 E to bring over so 76 E which going to be around £60-00.

 

I've worked out it costs me £40-00/£50-00 to split and dry a cubic meter (as long as I can get the wood easily/cheaply).

 

I think if you want to sell all year round increase your storage area and stockpile more.

Yes all well and good if you can easily get cordwood, for those of us on islands things are somewhat different.

 

Space is not an issue for me so would love to stockpile...
