Reporting internet fraud

Hi,

 

Do anyone know where to report (preferably online) systematic fraud committed by a UK (Glasgow G34 9QA) based website.

 

The site (which I cannot reveal here due to forum rules) has accepted orders and drawn payments for equipment from many people (myself included), and have never shipped the goods. They are even smart enough to claim that delivery takes so long, that the claims period at their payment provider (PayPal) is expired before you know you've been cheated.

 

I would really like to have the business reported, and the site shut down to prevent more people from bein cheated out of their hard-earned money.

The UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing (the CAP Code) now applies in full to marketing messages online, including the rules relating to misleading advertising, social responsibility and the protection of children

As I see it ASA only regulates the marketing/communication related issues of websites, and ensures compliance with regulations.

 

Does this mean the ASA will regulate everything online?

No, only advertisements and other marketing communications
