I don't get it.

You could buy a decent LD with the money from one job, easily.

Good point! The GRCS is relativley one of the cheapest bits of kit I own! Paid for itself in two jobs and not cost much in parts ever since. I think I bought two new springs that were a pound, and I had to get a new handle due to a mishap!

You could try putting your prices up!

Seriously I often see posts on here from guys who claim not to be able to afford quite cheap pieces of kit, like climbing kit, harnesses etc. If you can't affprd do spend a few hundred quid on basic kit you are not charging enough. Simples.

Even a new chainsaw isn't that dear in the grand scheme of things.:001_smile:

Italian hitch, Munter hitch, HMS hitch - same thing.

See Munter hitch - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia for details.

It may be tied single or doubled, and tied off, but is twists the rope, see

and

You should use a "HMS" marked carabiner which has a large radius, symmetrically rounded side.

Nice...didn't realise that there was a double italian hitch, will definately try this out:thumbup1:
